On being a foodie:
“I think it just gets us out of our comfort zone. It also takes us away from our day to day norm. We’re all busy. We’re all generally working either inside or outside the home. Going on a food tour is something you have to say, “Hey, we’re going to do this and block out Two or three hours of time. I always think of it as more of like a little mini-vacation, an escape. Also, you get introduced to things that are new to you.” – Tricia Scruggs
“I feel like you can have it all, just in moderation.” – Tricia Scruggs
About Tricia Scruggs
Tricia Scruggs is a foodie with a passion for travel, especially when there’s a beach involved. On a girls’ trip to the Caribbean, she was inspired to create a food walking tour. After years of dreaming and planning, Tricia founded We Ate Well Food Tours in 2017 in her beautiful hometown of McKinney.
Prior to launching the tours, Tricia spent more than a decade as a newspaper journalist. She got her start covering local government and community events for The McKinney Courier-Gazette, the city’s oldest newspaper. It was at that time she fell in love with the historic and charming town square. In We Ate Well Food Tours, Tricia has found the perfect blend of her passions and is happy to be telling stories again, this time through food.
